Well, the Steve Landon was born in 1981, so he's be 28 years old now. Plenty old for two kids, especially young enough to make bad KidPix pictures. (For reference, his last surfacing appears to have been 2004, which is when my now-in-Kindergarten daughter was born.) Heck, a couple people I went to high school with had at least two kids before they were 25; one four by 28.

But, as the Applefritter page says, there are at least 32 "Steve Landon"s in the country, minimum three that are reasonably well known in various industries based on some quick Google searches. This laptop could be from some random other Steve Landon. (Heck, "the" Steve Landon would probably remove his name from any computers before getting rid of them...)
