It's a parts machine, (power supply bad, hard drive removed) but was being listed only as a 533mhz, nothing said about the dual processor but the photo of the back clearly showed it as a dual processor model. The ethernet port on my single 533 went bad so I am going to combine parts to get the dual 533 working.

I'm going to combine parts from my single and the new dual and get the dual working as my main desktop. Oh, I also picked up an Airport card for $12.50, so that's going in, too.

I see that you have an original power supply from your other machine to restore this new one to functionality. If you think the ethernetless motherboard is worth restoring too, you might consider the ATX power supply hack.

How would the broken ethernet be restored apart from installing a card?

That's probably the simplest, most reliable and safest way. I meant if you thought it was worth using as-is.

The Znyx ZX345 (aka Apple 10/100 Fast Ethernet Card) should work just fine with that G4, and they can often be found on eBay for <=$10 shipped. (look for an apple-branded one atm) Just don't get a ZX345*Q* since the driver situation is murkier...
