Ours was taken into an AASP and we were told by the tech that he took it apart and cleaned everything(mirrors, lenses, etc) and swapped carts and such but he just did not know what was wrong. He even had another LWS360 sitting on a shelf there with the same issue. I took it apart last year sometime(it had been taken into the AASP back in 2001/02 IIRC) and I noticed that most of the caps had failed. Everything aside from the PSU; that one part still looked ok.

This did happen over a period of a couple years in the very late 90s and all our other hardware from then is still ok so.. *shrug*

To anyone with these printers:

If swapping the toner cart does not work and each page has the same blotchy pattern of printing failure then check the capacitors.
