Good success with a TEAC CD-244e this morning. The 12x drive faceplate is a perfect fit for the mounting holes and the PB1400 recognized the drive without any problems. So, to anyone out there with a failing 211e drive (12x), the 224e drives are still out there for not much cash. A much better solution if you've got a good drive housing!
