The UltraDocks are really awesome! They're the MiniDocks with the huge empty space in the bottom, into which one Japanese Hacker put the AC Adapter, IIRC.

I mention this because I believe that it was this case design which was intended to house the PC-Card Cage from the 1400, It would have run off a sub-set of the 2300's PBX bridged '030 bus which is fully represented on the Docking Connector. The Portable PC-Card Dock was announced, but never produced, the 1400 runs the same PBX bridged '030 slow I/O bus as the 2300c and their Block Diagrams are nearly identical.
