Aaaarrrggghhh!
So I completely tore down the system and re-assembled it, even managing to put in a few screws I had missed on the first go around.
The system booted up just fine before placing the bottom shield and plastic shield on.
So I figured I was good to go.
Nope.
Installed bottom metal shield, plastic shield, feet, and battery.
Push power button.
Nothing.
WTF!?! :?:
If this wasn't the only portable Mac I own that functions and is useable (when it boots) besides my 5300, I would toss in the street out of sheer frustration. I have now torn down and re-assembled the system 3 times.
All so I could re-install the DVD/CD-RW drive and install Tiger.
If I wasn't broke from my wife's cancer bills xx( , I'd just e-bay myself a nice unit and move on with my life, but alas it is not to be.
Dang.
