Ok I am going to give this one more shot.
I completely tore down the unit all the way to removing the logic board.
This way I can check the logic board for blown fuses, a screw that may have gotten in there or whatnot.
Will report back later with results.
As it stands now there is a ton of screws and various parts from both iBooks.
I am quite disappointed to find out the the from the motherboard sits on is different than the one in the 600MHz iBooks. My 500MHz frame has a crack in the lower left corner bracket near the HD bay and I was hoping to use the pristine one from the 600MHz unit.
Once again, it is not to be.
This is the last time I will tear down this unit. If I can't get it to fire up, expect a listing the trading post for iBook parts.
