just clone your sawtooth's OS onto the ibook (assuming the sawtooth has tiger) using something like CCC. that should work at least as a temporary fix until you can fix everything the correct way.

also, at least you are lucky enough to be able to resolder connections like that, if that happened to me, i'd be really screwed xx(
