Got to be careful with MDDs, they run extremely hot. But they are excellent machines, well worth fixing to keep in service. Running at less than 1.25GHz helps a lot. My 1.42 dual was regularly about 150 degrees Fahrenheit inside, with fully functional cooling. A 1GHz shouldn't waste so much power.
