As a student, I bought a new Classic II (a bit of an impulse buy, overlooking the fact that I couldn't actually afford it) in the summer of 1995, and it had a manufacture date of 1994. Fond memories of that machine – I wrote my Master's thesis on it. Should never have sold it.
