Yeah, I'm hoarding my own stack of RAM cards.
Just got the 4GB drive, the G3/466, the 8-bit video out and the Ethernet and modem cards transferred from the old 117 into the new 166 yesterday, and carefully moved the Sonnet sticker over (it tore, so I had to trim a bit -- the things we do for vanity). Finally put the custom cover on, et voila, refurb 1400.
Running Classilla like a champ. I'm sure it's just an illusion, but it seems snappier with the new motherboard, and it helps that the screen doesn't have a stuck line (damn you Wegener Media) and that the PRAM battery in this one still holds a charge. Replacing PRAM batteries in the 1400 is a PITA. The old one will become parts. Vaya con Dios, old Paint 117MHz.
