IIRC, the Mac SE and SE/30 shared the same exact RTC chip. If that's true, you should be able to swap it out with a good replacement. I'll be home in a little while to verify this. If the numbers match, I will be glad to just give you one off of my dead SE logic board. I saved it in order to salvage parts from.
