Never heard of that being done. The ROM 3 board is also different, more onboard RAM, etc. It also has two ROM chips vs the one of the older boards.
And I think I goofed; the ROM 1 does work with later stuff, it's the ROM 0 that doesn't. But most Woz units were 0.
