Out of curiosity, do you guys use an Ethernet port to connect to the Internet, or a regular modem port (i.e., dial-up)? My reason asking is because I have tried to get my Performa 5215CD running on the Internet using AOL 4.0 (we have AOL accounts at home for our other Macs, hence why I have AOL installed on the Performa). However, my problem is the connection does not last very long (sometimes, the computer will not even get past the signup window). How is it that an SE/30 can remain on the Internet, but a Performa cannot? Any ideas? (Before I forget, I am running OS 8.1 & have a Global 28k modem built-in).
