This is basically just a testimonial how great the pb1400 is 
I got mine two years ago from a friend who (finally) found it too old. I fell in love with it, especially the keyboard and its compact size. I've been using it as my main work computer (for math grad school) continuously since then. First I used it under Debian linux but then when I got tired of it being stuck at kernel 2.4 (2.6 is really hard for nubus as far as I can tell) I installed OS 9. Thanks to Classilla and MacSSH this computer is totally capable of doing everything I need and has already outlasted some of my friends' PC laptops

Anybody got any tips for modernizing this machine? It has the nupowr 216 MHz G3, and I can't get the cache working no matter what I try. Any ideas?
