According to the IT guy who gave it to me, it had been mothballed for 15 years, or so. A particular school still had it, and were in the process of throwing it out. So fortunately a little inquiring about old equipment/computers saved this awesome piece of machinery.
All I had to do was dust it out, and replace the PRAM battery to get her starting again. I believe it has a 10MB hard drive (I forgot what brand; I'll get back to you on that), but for some reason the HD was cleared, or the ROM needs to be booted- I haven't yet determined which, as the 2000 asks for this:
