The machine bongs and works normally apart from the Nubus slots, except that it boots irregularly when there is a card in one of the slots. It has not been tested extensively, however, as it is still in the "to do" pile. The question is what is to do.

The board was well cleaned so the chips should be good to go, but you make a good point; maybe a second cleaning would clear this up. For their part, the Nubus video cards do have accompanying extensions, but give video output at 640x480 in other machines without any add-ons. Should work in the IIci.

But my question is still unanswered: can bad caps cause Nubus slots to be non-functional?
