Sounds like my luck with powerbooks, only not in the 190/5300 series. I had 5 duds, 2 working.Of course, this one was even more disasembled than the last, no HDD, no case screws, but I have 1/2 the internal screws I was looking for xx(
But it does turn on with the battery in it, maybe the battery actually holds a slight charge still and the aftermarket power adaptor doesn't have enough oomph for a 180
in any case it's got a perfect screen in it! so at least I'm good there
The 2 working died within a year.
