Bear in mind that the Apple II scans the slots from highest to lowest at startup, so if you want it to automatically boot from the HDD you'll need to put it in slot 7.

Yeah, I remember that. My dad used to be a heavy Apple II user back in the day. I also studied the schematics and stuff.

Once you've got it formatted just copy over PRODOS and BASIC.SYSTEM and you're good to go.

Thanks, I read that and tried it. Maybe my mistake was putting the SCSI card in slot 6 instead of 7. So I will try 7.

Unfortunately it might be a while. I injured myself at work on my bad leg. I am pretty out of it as I had to take 3 Oxycodone tablets (Oxycontin) and am quite out of it. I also am missing work and it's only my 3rd week on the job. I CANNOT lose this job, and I seem to be cursed as most jobs I get I lose because I get sick or injured and the 3rd week seems to be a common occurance. I am determined to do what it takes, including willing to fudge the numbers so I get unpaid overtime. I want this job bad and I am going to try to do whatever it takes to keep in.

Thanks guys. I was on the right track (format with ADTPro/copy system/Prodos files) but I guess I had it in the wrong slot.

I tried to get a super serial card, but it turned out to be like $32 + 16 shipping, I was not willing to pay that, so I have just been using an audio cassette.

Does anyone have a serial card for the Apple II that they would like to sell, or trade for?

I got lots of mac stuff, including working super drives (1.44MB) and RAM and stuff.

I would love to get this Apple II decked out somewhat.
