I have attached photos below of my ED. As if to prove its' ED roots, it has engraving behind the carry handle for a college.
I note that the serial number is from 1987 (a year before the ones above) and ends with M0001ED, not WP (like the 512Ks did). Hmmm.
Also, I have a Mac with a serial number ending in M0001P, not WP, and the rear case badge says 128K, but the sticker on the rear says M0001WP and 512K, and it has the 512K motherboard. I am aware there were upgrades, but I never heard that the case was left and the sticker was swapped, but I've heard the entire rear case was exchanged so you couldn't tell it was a 128K originally. I wouldn't be asking, but the sticker does not match the case it is on.
