Yes I agree that PC MacLan is much more easy and better in 2011. I have it running and I can see all my machines in the LocalTalk Zone and Ethernet Zone. Bridging is done thanks to my new Shiva FastPath 5 router.
That means that I don't really need a PhoneNET PC card, but I see it as fun to get it working. I have seen that these cards are supported by the Linux kernel too, so I will have a look at this too. See f.i.

I have a screen shot how my AppleTalk network looks at my Windoos box.
