PowerBook 150 totally dead
I dug up my PB150, but it completely refuses to boot. The battery died so long ago it's not funny, but I have the big brick ac adapter.
I've hit the switch on the back (reset?), tried it with the battery in and out, and let it sit for a while. Nothing. Is it just a paperweight now? :'(

Read the post about the 6 dead PB100. I would approach it like that.
My approach to fixing "dead" 1x0 Powerbooks
- Pull battery
- Leave plugged in for a few hours
- Hold down power button/rear switch, press on and off
- Should chime, then die - power up again, it should eventually get to start up.
- Plug in battery, it'll switch off
- Turn off PB, plug in battery, repeat several times
... I think the battery screws up PRAM settings if not used for a while, with trial and error similar to the above you should be able to get it to boot without the battery, then "coax" it back into recognition

Thanks! I'll try that. Something about a B&W display :b&w:
