How would I be able to record sound on a compact mac? Specifically I am asking about the SE/30, but I would guess there were some common types of hardware to allow someone to record sound if there was not a built-in microphone port or microphone.

Does anyone know the specs. for the sound chip in the SE/30? I have seen conflicting specs. on the web. My current understanding is that the ASC can handle 8-bit stereo at a sample rate of 22kHz.
