I popped in the new lb, and the 733 mhz cpu. It actually sustained the power button light and was working.(No chime, but that was b/c of no ram) I grabbed a fresh RAM chip, popped it in and DEATH! It is now back to its old symptoms(and this is with a confirmed working psu AND lb). Is it possible a bad RAM stick killed the lb?
Assuming the RAM stick didn't kill the board(There was no smoke, no pop, no spark, no nothing...) and I merely got lucky and got one boot out of a dead cpu/front analog board. I am looking for a (third)new cpu and a front analog board. If anyone has these handy, let me know. Though, I think it is the cpu based on the symptoms: With no cpu it behaves as it should, and with the cpu it shows the signs of a bad cpu minus the power light staying on.
