I used to use a version 3 linksys WPC54G in my G3 PB.. but they changed the chipset a couple times so I do not know what versions exactly are compatible... That card worked with Mac OS X's airport drivers because it had the same or compatible broadcom chipset that airport extreme cards use, but only Mac OS X. I never used 10.2 on that PDQ, only 10.3 and 10.4.

Also, IIRC PCMCIA = 16bit, CardBus = 32bit. You want a CardBus card because I do not know if they made 802.11G PCMCIA cards.. but people interchange those names all the time anyway.. and they are more or less the same thing... so.... *shrug*(both fall under the "PCCard" designation as far as I am aware).

If you do try getting one make sure that you can verify what version it is(listed on the back) and make sure you install all the airport updates as well. Though, I do not know what airport updates exists for 10.2, I just remember that in 10.3 I needed to get a small one for my card to work. (actually a bigish one, then I was allowed to install a small one)
