If the ports at the back differ, chances are everything else in inside will differ too (motherboard risers, connectors etc). Considering taking apart a G5 case is not a trivial matter (I'd put it as the worst ever desktop Mac to completely tear down), those "marks" in the better G5 had better buff right out
