2.5" SCSI HD formatting software
If you're trying to format hard drives that are not Apple branded, Apple programs like HD SCSI Setup will not recognize/list them.
You'll need to patch HD SCSI Setup. http://www.euronet.nl/users/ernstoud/patch.html
There's an auto patcher on the page there.
Hope this help.
Ben. (Yeah, my name is also Ben, small world huh?)

yes they spin, and try to load the previous system (i recall 7.5.5), thet are ok as they come from a lot of 3 powerbooks 180 that I had left in a closet for a repair project (all three had the tunneling syndrome). this last Easter vacation I decide to use the 180s to gey parts for the 185c (keyboard and trackball assemblyang HD) the 160' (interconnect board, shared betwen 160, 165 and 180) and the 165c (keyboard and modem and HD) now my pb 1xx collection needs a clean PB 180.
so the point is that these two HD (120 and 160 MB) that worked two weeks ago in the 180s, cannot get to be initialized, actually I managed to quik initialize with HDT, but then 7.1 failed to install...
