The color classic II is not affordable for me at the moment considering it wasnt made in the US. But maybe someday id like to get my hands on a Performa 275, CC II and Mac Ed. But im done looking for now. Ill let it find me.

I didn't say go out, and get one now. Naturally the CCII is going to be difficult to obtain since it was marketed only for overseas Apple customers.

If you can get your hands on a Mac TV, then obtaining a Mac ED should be a cakewalk for you.

The Mac TV was a lucky craigslist score. The guy had been using it as just a tv and thought that was all it did

All we have here is Gumtree and it's full of overpriced nearly-new stuff. No bargains to be had at all! In fact, any bargains are usually snapped up then relisted immediately with an increased selling price.

If you want an ED, you're probably going to have to look overseas. The Netherlands is your best bet; Apple seemed to sell more EDs there than in any other market.

Also, if you truly are looking for a complete compact collection, you'd need sub-varieties. There's a thread on here you can search for which talks about these machines (including platinum/beige Pluses, platinum/beige 512Kes, several models of the ED/Plus ED, European SEs badged with their configuration, SE FDHD/SuperDrive, Plus ROM revisions, sticker copyright/detail revisions, etc). I think we determined in that thread there are over 30 variants of compact Mac out there.

Im just sticking with the north american released ones. I dont have any room for anymore. At least until I buy a large house and make a basement full of old macs

I'm with Scott here. Even if you exclude the foreign sold models, incremental revisions (ROM revs., etc.), and minor badging changes (ED, FDHD, etc.), at a minimum you still need to add the 512Ke. While I understand the space issue, to have a truly complete North American collection, you need the 512Ke (for the internal improvements) and to a lesser extent the beige AND 2nd gen. Platinum Mac Plus, which have different physical badging too. Good historical pairings with these three Macs are respectively, the HD 20, and HD SC (beige and Platinum if possible) - the good news is they don't take up any more floor space! You should also have a "Macintosh 128K" which not only has different physical badging, but also has a unique logic board configuration.

An arguable requirement is the Macintosh XL, which meets all the requirements of a Compact Mac, except footprint. But considering what it actually is, along with its relative rarity and high cost, I think most on here would give you a pass if you never get around to adding it to your collection.

But otherwise congrats, even this collection is a notable accomplishment, representing the major Compact benchmarks, especially since they all have something intangible that improves their worth, at least to you.

The hard part is finding ethernet , SCSI (for the originals), accelerators, and other upgrades. Decent working keyboards for the original compacts with the telephone cord (and serial mice) are not that easy to find either.
