retr0bright progress on SE/30
Check it out.. retr0bright progress on my SE/30 .. just doing the rear case so far.

That's with just about 2 hours of sunlight in the evening, and then having it under a black light overnight. Not bad at all! Another afternoon should finish it off! Totally excited to have it side-by-side with the front just to see the difference!
For comparison purposes, notice the rectangular gray square on the front... that's the original color as far as I can tell. There was a sticker over that corner!

Oh NICE! My SE/30 isn't too bad but could benefit this, though there's little point since it's not working at the moment. :-/
I plan on doing the same thing with a couple of Macs. What is your recipe?
I'm using the same technique as JDW from these forums, which he outlined in his Flickr photo at:

Basically I'm using corn starch instead of xanthan gum for thickener. It's way easier to find, and really cheap at that.
Very simple process actually! Just takes a bit of time to get everything set up, etc.

New update, after a couple more hours in the sunset:

retr0bright in-progress streaking on SE/30 case by amatecha, on Flickr
A bit worried by that streaking but I think that's just because I haven't done a nice FULL afternoon with multiple reapplications (including full cleaning each time). I guess we'll find out very soon whether my case is screwed or not! hehehehe

I had awesome results with my SE as well:

I have a REALLY yellow Classic :beige: that I want to try this on. For those who have tried it before, does it take two passes to help a machine that is overly-yellowed? (To put it in perspective, this Classic is darker than an unyellowed 512Ke).
very nice work.
For the time being i love the yellow look of my compacts, but is nice to have an alternative.

I have determined that straight on full sun is much better than a UV bulb. However if you live in a place like the UK, straight on sun may not always be an option.
