Hardware Card Floppy Emulator

I saw an SD card floppy emulator demonstrated on an Amiga, and was wondering if anyone has tried something similar on a Mac?

These run off the IDE style floppy interface and power cables and allow SD cards to be used.

I know Apples monitor the floppy status and 800kb format of early drives might not be compatible, but was wondering has anyone seen or used something similar on a mac?

Would be interesting to see, and perhaps useful for file transfer :)

There are multiple threads on this subject scattered around the forum. I believe the current answer is that there isn't a unit that works (completely) with the Mac *yet*. There of course are Flash devices available for just about every other disk format in the world, however.
