FREE Macs in Livermore area (NorCal)
There's a guy on Craigslist giving away tons of free Mac stuff. I grabbed some, but he still had 4 Macs there including a pimped out 8600/300 plus other Apple goodies. I just don't have room to store any more Macs. I told him I'd post on here to see if anyone else is interested in picking up a few items.

Forgot to mention what I scored from there. I picked up a single Mac. He had a Macintosh Plus in its travel bag with an external floppy drive and SCSI HDD. I just couldn't leave it there. It looked so lonely.
Also got a 1GB and 2GB Jaz drive with 3 1GB Jaz cartridges, plus a wooden box filled with System 7 (7.0 and 7.1 Pro) and System 6 floppies (6.0.3). So I think I have my System 7 disks covered. Should come in really handy.

I sent the poster a msg asking if he would ship any of the items but don't really expect a positive reply given the nature of Craigslist. So, would you be willing to pickup the 8600/300 logic board and CPU and ship to me in Oregon? Of course I would pay shipping and a small fee for your trouble. I would like to try transplanting the 300 board in my 8600/200, if the PSU pinouts are the same, otherwise I would at least have a spare board for my 8600/300. Thanks.

I can probably do that. I can just pick up the whole 8600 and gut it for you, and ship you both motherboards and CPUs. He has an extra motherboard and CPU for the 8600.
I could use the HDD out of it, then recycle the case.

Thanks for the offer, but to my surprise Chris replied positively to shipping the board and CPU; we just have to work out the details. If that doesn't work out I'll prevail upon your kindness again.
Can you ship me the 7600?
Just email Chris, he seems to be willing to ship computers.
