Hi folks....

I am trying to format a 4GB CF card to use in my color classic.  I am using this hardware:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CF-AztecMonster-CF-3-5inc-SCSI-Converter-Card-New-for-Vintage-Computer-/301685718978?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item463ddebfc2

I was unable to format the CF card using apple tools.  So I wrote the fellow who sells this device. He recommended software called Anubis Plus V 3.0.1.

When I try to format the CF card with the above software, it makes two partitions that are just a whisker over 2GBs each.  I use the auto initialise button.  It formats the CF card into what looks to be two ATA drives.  After many attempts, I am not sure I am formatting the CF card correctly.  While the drives come out as HFS, OS 7.5.3 can not see them.  When I run disk tools for 7.5.3, the disk First Aid sees the drives and reports them to be perfect.  But if I try to run the format utility on the tools disk, it will not see the drives.  And the OS will not load.

I think I am not formatting the drives correctly.  One thing I have not tried is turning off "Blind Writes" (what ever that is).

Is anyone here using this software to format a CF card?  If not, can you recommend some software to me?

Thanks

jack
