Thanks again for the good advice gentelman.  I have used HFS and not HFS+ when I format.  I first tried to split the 4GB CF card into 1.5GBs partions.  I did not know that HFS+ and HFS Extended were the same thing.  I will go back and re format and make sure I am not using HFS Extended.  Very good tip!!!
