I went back to format again using both Drive Setup v 1.5 and  Anubis v 3.0.1e.  I was using the normal HFS mode, and not Mac extended, or HFS+.  So that is not my problem.  I tried it this time with partions that were 1.49GBs each.

Until I can buy some other format software, I guess I will run 7.6 and call it good for now.  I am stuck.

Thanks for the tip.  But I must be doing something else wrong.  The CC boots just fine when I install a SCSI HD.  So I believe my Mac is OK.
