Fixing Dead Pixels on a 180c

Fixing Dead Pixels on a 180c Hardware 5 posts Jul 31, 2011 — Aug 3, 2011
My 180c has a few dead pixels and I'm wondering if anyone has found a good way to get rid of them on the screen.

Allegedly, you can try massaging them away. Standard "own risk" disclaimer goes here.

I'd heard of the massage technique. Has anyone had success on an older screen, like a 180c's, with this method?

(If all else fails I do have another 180c with no hard drive I could part out--screen was OK on it).

Just try it and see what happens. As long as you don't push too hard, you won't hurt the screen. I had a hot pixel in my first 3400c and the massage technique fixed it.

My PDQ had a stuck one in the centre of the screen that would crop up every few months and massaging it made it go back to normal.. for a few months >_>
