Apple laptop bag? Anyone know anything?
Apologizes if this is the wrong forum, wasn't sure if this was lounge.. though it came with a Powerbook 5300 I got so I'm guessing it's from the mid 90s.
Here's a pic of it.. this is from the seller.. it's color is way off. It's more light blue and beige leather.
Anyone know anything about it? I can't even seem to find another picture of it on Google?

Looks like a road warrior bag from the '90s all right. I've seen all kinds of custom "Apple/Mac" bags and paraphernalia on eBay . . . and I always wonder about them.
I've never seen one like your bag though, but design wise, it looks like it may be the real deal, nice find!
That said, t's also very easy to make up a tool to emboss leather with the Apple Logo, so who knows?
)
Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome!!
The Apple logo is also on a couple of other leather places as well as the metal zipper tags, defiantly seems pretty well made. There is a stitched in window that says inspected by inspector 13. But I'm sure there are some great fakes too, interesting I can't find any other pictures.

Speaking of Apple Bags, I fund one of these on Craigslist for $30.

I saw that same bag shown in the OP on an ad in a Mac User mag from 94 or 95. I'll see if I can find it again and give you the low down on what exactly it is.
Wow cool, still looking for info.. I guess there wouldn't be much info on a bag but it's surprising I can't even find a picture.
It's a really nice bag, it's a bit bulky (two compartment, one for Powerbook/accesories, another for paperwork) but it's very well built!

I collected a bag with a 180 c and another with a 165 c, both have the two compartment feature (seems to be usual)it's a bit bulky (two compartment, one for Powerbook/accesories, another for paperwork)
one of them was a Targus bag, the other is black and features the Apple rainbow logo, metal zipper tags are also showing the logo... but is quite different from yours.
I can take the mag home and scan it if you want, but here's a photo I snapped:

I don't think that it is a laptop bag. According to the Seller, it is a Gym Bag.
Looking at PORT's ad that came with my 2300c ala 1996.
They had a:
Lightweight Case
Expandable '
BackPack
BookBag
Sport '
Leather Classic '
Leather Executive '
Yours matches the design for Sport. It said it came in Green as pictured in my ad, and also in blue, likely what you have.

That is the bag!
Way cool, clears up some mystery. Interesting that there doesn't seem to be any indication of PORT on the bag itself.
Thanks for the picture!!
