I've never seen that before. But I'll usually tear a machine down and then reconnect all the components just to make sure they're all seated properly or if the connections need to be cycled or "erased" co clear any crud off the flex circuit cables as a first step.

Things tend to work more to spec if all the connections are right and moving is one sure fire way of jiggling something or other loose!
