Point 1.

I cant boot from pcmcia cf adapter on my 5300cs, where system is broken on the hard drive.

Point 2.

With CF-IDE adapter i get

sad mac codes:

> 0000000F

> 00000001

in both slave and master mode

I decided to replace the hard drive in mine, the 5300 CS, since it always disconects when I try to erase it or install onto it-seems broken. Disc Warrior didnt help.

I tried to overclock as well, as stated on http://www.alksoft.com/5300_overclock.html but:

"In the meantime, though, I managed to change the multiplier on my 5300cs by moving R48 to R46 and R43 to R127. "

resulted in me unable to boot.

And in the resistors of interest http://www.alksoft.com/5300_images/resistors_close_half_reducd.jpgyou marked up R47? Because of what?

R46 is horizontal?

I reverted the resistors back the mac boots but I have the problem with CF.
