I was actually offered both a 900 and a 950 for FREE nearly four years ago, but passed due to space constraints...the 950 even had a SyQuest or something similar in one of its bays...

There are reasons a casual vintage user would want a Classic over an SE. They have an internal SuperDrive, which makes it far easier to transfer files from a newer Mac. They're also easier to work on--all batteries are in holders and the RAM card can be removed without taking the logic board out. Still, the SE is definitely a better-engeineered design.
