Mac OS 9.1 set primary display
Hi there
I have a PM8500, which I'm repairing. Just got the video card finally working but it won't let me set the primary display. It's outputting video from the PCI video card as a secondary monitor. So I have no menu, just the wallpaper. How do I tell Mac OS that the vga out of the rage128 is displayed 1?

Hi thanks
I kinda figured it out in the end. When I thought I'd swapped the screens around, I'd actually only mirrored them. It worked while ever I had my apple - vga adaptor connected to the rear of the machine, while the monitor was plugged in to the ATI rage. I guess the onboard video port, thought the adaptor was actually a monitor.
Everytime I unplugged it the vga out on the rage would go weird. Finally realised I needed to move the menu / task bar over to the other desktop, so that it became the primary display. Lord what a faff!! That was more stress then rebuilding the thing!
