Yes, the "cursive" font is NOT the original System font. That particular image has been tampered with and unfortunately is the one that is most widely available and circulated. The Macintosh Plus has the correct font.

I figured this out a while back, and have since forgotten, but today I'm inclined to say that this may have been done so that the person using it knew immediately that they were on a 64K ROM Mac, or a 128K ROM Mac.
