Flash-It 3.0.2 (on Mac garden site) is a useful control panel.
Usually when I take screendumps is to take it, transfer over Ethernet to some OS X box. Then I use Preview to change from .pict to .jpg for Photobucket uploading. Preview can also open MacPaint files but you'll get a gigantic white space that you'll have to crop out leaving a 512x342 image remaining.
(Funny how iOS recognizes and changes "macpaint" to "MacPaint". Must be a heritage thing.)
