1MB SIMMs (make sure youy get the correct speed not the ones meant for printers) are easy enough to find, the 4MB ones are a bit harder and more expensive. Be prepaired to buy 2 new PRAM batteries at about $5 a piece. The IIfx is a great machine even with 8MB of RAM, both of mine have 32MB and that is more then enough for tasks a 030/40 should do. I recommend dual superdrives (which are getting hard to find in working condition). Just make sure you have the drive shelf and mounting hardware on the unit. Some early IIfx machines had a 5.25" SCSI HD and if you want to use a normal 50 pin 3.5" drive you will need a new mounting sled. Other then that you just need a video card (none built in) and a network card if you need networking other then the built in serial port.
