Performa 200!
Another very cool compact Mac! I'd love to have one of those as well, or a Classic II. For some reason I haven't owned a Classic, Classic II or Performa 200. If I was going to chose one I'd go Classic II/Performa 200.

Two interesting facts regarding the P200 I've found so far, both of which are evident in applefreaks post - mine also has a 110v power supply (which I suppose is to be expected as mine was from the US too) and secondly the sticker on the back of the machine is different to Classic and Classic II. As you can see in applefreaks picture it is missing any "badging" on the back sticker.
P.S. applefreak - first thing I did was put tape over the power socket so I didn't just plug it in to 240v without thinking!
P.S.S. I've never seen "Serial number: REFURBISHED" on a serial number sticker before, how cool!

I bought a step down transformer from a guy on eBay that handles up to 325W, as we bought an Empire Red KitchenAid on our recent trip to Hawaii. It is 110V only, but when they are $750 in Australia, or $300 in the US, with a step down transformer costing $50, you can't say no. The wife was after one for a long time so we brought it back in our luggage (FUN!). It handles a real world max of 330W, and it was 325W, so all good.
The reason I bring it up is that the Classic II only draws 76W of power, so this would easily handle it. The guy sells them for overseas power tools, and they are black and unobtrusive like most of them. PM me if you want the link, but you can easily find it yourself as well.

No, it's a good idea if you will be using it on a regular basis. But you'll know that it isn't stock, or as it came from the factory. That's a line I draw in the sand for myself, but it's your call. I would have considered that too for mine, but haven't had the issue pop up yet.
I was sold this one as "not working" due to the checkerboard so it will also need a re-cap. Cosmetically it's in excellent condition though (minus a small scratch on the front). It also has a very textured finish - more so than my others, but then again it's dated 1992 which I think makes it the "newer" of my Classics/Classic IIs.
I purchased all the components to re-cap my Colour Classic, was very careful and actually did a reasonably tidy job (for a first try) but still no luck, still just won't power on... Need to build some more confidence again before trying this one though...
