Very cool. I can't say I'd shell out $8000 for it, but maybe someone will. Prototypes are tough to predict prices on, they're usually best to list in a traditional auction and let the market determine the price in my opinion. You can always put a reserve on it if you have a rock-bottom price in mind that you wouldn't sell under.

I just like looking at Apple prototypes online...it's much more affordable than actually buying them. :p

If I was gonna shell out big bucks I'd go hunting for a transparent compact or something like that I think. Here's a couple of examples of what I'd love to own from a quick AppleFritter search. I'd love a colored transparent one even more; I've seen some green ones but they didn't come up in my one minute 'Fritter hunt.

Looks like they took the guts out of an early PowerBook and added a touch screen to it. Neat that it runs HyperCard.

It runs HyperCard instead of Finder? Interesting, I wonder what the user interface was like. Hopefully whoever bought it will be able to resurrect the hard drive and show it off. It seems like a lot of these things get bought for big money and then go back into hiding.

Wow, this was just down the road from me! I wish I had noticed it while it was active, I would have asked to come photodocument it before it was sold.
