I'll be adding light gage flat stock aluminum to the insides of the sides of the 6100's sheet metal for mounting the slides at any given height. The top front edge will be a custom wood wrist rest and the bottom edge will probably be receiving a piece of (well rouded side edges) angle stock as a the drawer pull.

It's on to designing the KBD/wrist rest/mouse pad drawer so I can assemble this thing, get it working in baseline config and out of the way!

edit: for the comrade who wanted to see how I'd rackmount a 6100 . . .

1) use wider mounting brackets

2) drill four holes in each side of 6100 in appropriate spots, starting with a small pilot bit . . .
