Sony Ericsson GC79 wireless card and Wallstreet
I collected a couple of weeks ago the following card.
This card is using the Broadcom BCM4306 chipset, so the same as the original Airport one.
I inserted the card in my Wallstreet (Mac OS 10.3) and the card is properly detected as a Broadcom BCM4306 card...I turned Airport on and it started working and detecting the available hotspots, including my own.
The problem is each time i try to enter the password, Airport says this is not recognised.
Moreover, internet is not working, even with a free hotspot and setting the network to manual (DHCP is not working apparently)
The signal's strenght seems to be good.
Any clues?

check for some sort of firmware update?
WEP or WPA?
If it's WEP, are you trying to enter the hexadecimal code or the phrase from which it was generated?

WPA, probably that is the point because i don't think the card will handle the WPA 256 bits password.
Doesn't work either with a free hotspot and this time i don't understand.
