You need a good logic analyzer, or at the bare minimum, an oscilloscope to troubleshoot that issue easily. itll take you right to the fault.

Said friend of mine fortunately has both an oscilloscope and a logic analyzer.

For now, I fear that the worst part will be acquiring the spare parts :(
