also somtimes it doesent boot unless i hold the reset button down for 5 seconds to reset the pram, but its booted now, into os 8.6i am posting this with it.

I don't know what that's about. Maybe the bad cache is corrupting something in PRAM?

i would assume i would need a new processor card for this bad boy huh?

Yeah, I'd say you do.
I had this happen to a Pismo (except I couldn't get it to run without hard freezing. It was running OS 9.x.x). I replaced the CPU card and it was as good as new.

You could try unplugging it and putting it back to clear any corrosion on the connectors, although I doubt that would work if your L2 cache is out.
