Mac Classic screen "wiggles" during disk activity
Good evening people, I am looking for some advice on a Classic I obtained a few months back and haven't got around to exploring it. My Classic's screen "wiggles or jiggles" at the edges during disk activity. When no activity is happening, the screen shakes about 5% as much as before. I can barely notice the movement unless I get close and focus. When I open a folder, menu, anything, the screen starts to move slightly. It doesn't make it unusable but it sure is annoying. I tried a video but it didn't show the problem. The sound doesn't work either so I'm guessing it's all cap related? Maybe the power board?
I tried booting from the ROM and the screen does the same weird movement during activity
The first thing I'd try is to resolder the joints on the analog board. This solved wiggling on my Classic.
resolder every single one? Or just the one by the four plug harness? I tried heating up the 4 pin connector (with it unplugged) and still wiggles. I will try again a little longer. I noticed it looks like the screen is kinda in the water. It also has very small waves going from the bottom up. Not really seen unless you focus. I have read the problems the plus around J1 but can't find much about classic solder problems.
